He talked all big like there would be no rematch if he didn't get to wear the gloves he wanted...yet... here we are, fight night and he is using the gloves that Floyd dictated. Maidana wants the payday. He isn't some Aztec warrior that fights solely for pride and honor like he says. That really cheap plug for whatever cookie he was eating at the last post fight was scripted as hell, as was all the pushing BS at these press conferences. I'm not suggesting that Floyd paid him off, I'm just saying boxing is a business...to the core and very very very few boxers defy this fact.

If the MX gloves are THAT dangerous to the opposing fighter, then why does Floyd allow HIS STABLE to wear them? It's bullsh*t any way you cut it, and fcuk Maidana for not taking a stand this fight.

im tired of reading about Maidana wearing pillows. hes wearing 8 oz gloves that many other fighters have kod boxers with before, thata just Mayweathers way of saying im the star you do what i say
No 8oz gloves are pillows, that is ridiculous I agree. HOWEVER, Floyd would not even let Maidana wear commission approved MX gloves... yet, Floyd's stable fighters can wear them and Floyd doesn't give a sh*t. Cotto wore them against him (10 oz)
