He's past prime and is at an age where many ATGs have lost (partly at least) due to old age or ring age. I think a loss tonight would be shocking to most fans and observers, but later on down the road it would be generally accepted that he was past prime.
He fights in vegas because it's the mecca of boxing. It's been this way for several decades- all the top tier fighters worldwide go to Vegas to display their abilities. And let's not pretend like the judges have been fair with him either- there's been some suspicious scorecards over the years. Even in the Canelo fight, the other 2 judges had it relatively close for what seemed like a clear 10-2 or 11-1 decision.
