JuanMa's decline was more surprising though - Angulo was always a very limited fighter, whereas Lopez looked as though he could box a little as well as having that power.

Time for them both to retire though.

    Round 4

De la Rosa is changing directions on Angulo, moving laterally almost constantly and forming a protective moat with long straight combos from both stances. Angulo is just walking through shots, back curled, trying to land hooks up close. He occasionally gets through but De la Rosa rolls with them and counters in combination.

    10-9 De la Rosa

    39-36 De la Rosa

Angulo is a worry, I like a brawler with bottle but somebody needs to look out for him and get him away from boxing because he is going to get seriously hurt.

The worst thing that can happen to Angulo is he wins... and gets a title shot against GGG.

This may seem like a brewing upset with De la Rosa being 2-2 in his last four (although so is Angulo) plus being largely unknown on this stage - but in the first several years of his career before the layoffs and first taste of defeat, James De la Rosa was considered a pretty good prospect by diehards. Skillful kid.

de la rosa doing a better job on angulo than lara and canelo. Although it could take one lucky miracle punch by Angulo.

    Round 5

De la Rosa is sticking with the plan that works, making Angulo trudge in lobbing easily scouted underhanded body shots and flashing both fists in his face at medium-long range, constantly reversing his stance. Angulo does get in close and crack De la Rosa behind the ear with some hooks late, but not enough to steal it.

    10-9 De la Rosa

    49-45 De la Rosa
