Khan could theoretically outpoint Mayweather for sure.
1. Khan would be harder to catch on the counters due to his speed
2. Khan is defensively responsible now since joining and learning under Virgil.
3. Khan has a fast, better jab than Maidana.
4. Khan is a very good combination puncher, fast hands.
5. His power seems decent enough at 147lbs
6. Styles make fights, from the get go we know Khan is a difficult style for Mayweather.
7. Mayweather has been hit by Maidana more often than he should have.

 

The Maidana rematch was a waste of a fight for Mayweather and Showtime. I would have much preferred Khan and said it from the start. I think its one of the few interesting fights out there for Mayweather
