2 roadblocks already. Next he would demand that pac wears winning gloves and must test with USADA and would not agree with VADA.

I hope it happens, for some reason people are counting FLoyd out after he wiped the floor in his rematch with Maidana.

What people tend to forget is THIS version of Marcos Maidana is a tough out for almost anyone. He's not going to make technical fighters like FLoyd look good in the ring because he brings that persistent pressure for the entire 3 minutes of each round.

Pacman is an ATG no doubt, but he doesn't fight in the manner as Maidana does. In fact, at this stage in Pacman's career, he tends to take off about 1 minute to 1 1/2 minutes per round. I think from a stylistic standpoint, FLoyd is all wrong for Pacman, a guy who can be timed pretty easily with accurate countepunching. And there's nobody that does that better than Mayweather.

On the flip side, Manny's handspeed and combination punching should cause Mayweather some problems, but that's only when Manny decides to actually engage him. I think by the 6th round Manny will be very trepidatious to lunge in with his lead shots and try to throw combos together. At that point, I think he'll probably have felt a good amount of counterpunches and he'll be reticent to let his hands go.

FLoyd is taller, has over a 5 inch reach advantage and stylistically is the best defender and counterpuncher that Manny would ever face. Just a bad, bad matchup for Manny.

"Manny is next" lol this is a kind of running gag from Floyd. He says this after EVERY fight for the last 5 years. People who listen to him are seriously braindead.

Oh you mean JMM didn't want to be dictated to? Isn't the excuse you *******s use when Floyd offered Pac his biggest payday? As I said, Ali can only get ONE division title. Eight titles in 25 pounds is for lilliputians, heck you can only get 1 title form LHW to Cruiser (25 pounds). What's the big deal? They should give REAL MEN eight division titles for going up one division.

I'm not talking about the negotiations part of the fight. I'm a huge fan of both fighters so I don't have a horse in this race specifically. i personally think since they're the 2 biggest PPV draws for the last decade that they're both to blame for the fight not being made already. I don't think one man should burden all the blame. Ped's, weight class, purse split, PPV split, I don't care about the silly stipulations. Both men could've made the fight happen by now if they tempered their egos down a bit while attempting to negotiate.

Just on a stylistic level I've always thought Mayweather was a bad matchup for Pacman. Floyd is one of those fighters that almost always gives his best performances in the biggest of stages. Against manny, I just think his counterpunching would be way too much. He's not the most powerful man at WW obviously, but neither is Pacman, and I think FLoyd packs enough pop in those countershots to stun Manny and make him think twice about initiating the action by the mid rounds. It's one of the few fights in recent times for FLoyd where he'd be the naturally larger man.

Anyway anything can happen in boxing so who knows. If Pacman fought for the entire 3 minutes of every round like Marcos did in his first fight with FLoyd, than I think Manny would have a good shot at beating him. But Pacman hasn't fought in that manner in over half a decade and at his ripe age I don't expect him to ever fight like that again. I think that KO that Marquez gave him took something out of him mentally as far as letting his hands go.
