Is Kenny Bayless the worst referee of all time?

    Ok we all love the goofy awkward faces he makes, but let's evaluate his "performance" last night.

    Now I realize he got a huge payday from Mayweather, but I have watched boxing for 10 years, and have seen all the classic fights, and this is the first time I have ever seen a referee literally wait, crouching ready to do a jumping dive to break fighters apart the first second they clinch. I think the most hilarious thing I have ever seen in boxing was in the 10 round when Floyd was holding on to Maidana, and Maidana is nailing him with multiple left hands, and Gayless jumps infront of Maidana's punch, takes it, then breaks them up. It happens with 1 minute left in RD 10.

    Just look at him creeping inches away from them the whole fight, I lost track of how many times he jumped backwards to avoid colliding with them. I use to think Joe Coretz, and Russel Mora were the worst refs of all time, I think Gayless just topped them.

    The guy was there to save floyd it was obvious from the beginning.
    didnt allow any infighting at all .. maidana was fighting 2 guys in there..
    What some dont realize is that floyd was holding every time when maidana got on the inside but it was overlooked because bayless was quick to separate them

    Bayless is the best ref we have but last night his job was to save Floyd. How much Gayweather paid him I don't know but he was obviously paid.

    That is the "Go to" example for worse refereeing ever. Other options include the ref for Norwood Vs Gainer and Airich Vs Williams

    I didn't mind. Bayless but last night seems like he was paid heavily to be in favor of Floyd .

    Gainer-Norwood was perhaps the most incompetent.

    Coggi-Gonzalez 1 was the most corrupt. I heard that it's not true that the ref was banned for life and he actually did continue reffing.

    I always post that fight when the subject of "Biggest Robberies" comes up and idiots list fights in which they scored it 115-113 for one fighter and not every round was clear cut.
