As a dentist that makes mouthguards for many athletes, including champions such as Manny Pacquiao, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Donnie Nietes, to mention a few, I was surprised by Mayweather’s claim.

People who know nothing about mouthguards will easily believe that Maidana bit a chunk of Mayweather’s glove as some reports stated. But to people like me who make hundreds of them for athletes from many kinds of sports, I found that claim to be ridiculous.

Mouthguards are made thick at the edges where the teeth are located particularly at the area of the front teeth. I do not care how hard Maidana can bite but I find it impossible to bite a chunk of Mayweather’s glove with his mouthguard on!

“He bit my left hand so my fingers are numb,” Mayweather apparently stated.

Huh?

Maidana must have an extraordinary large mouth to fit all of Floyd’s fingers which were protected by his thick glove.

Really now Floyd, how can your fingers go numb?

But you certainly gained the sympathy from those who know nothing about mouthguards, their design, fit and function.

But to a guy like me who is very familiar with them, I say your claim is a lot of bull!

That was ridiculous, unless maidana bit all the way through the glove how the hell would floyd feel anything, the glove is padded. Plus the fact he had a mouth guard in, don't know how anyone can genuinely think maidana would have done any damage even if he had bit him.

I personally don't know but what I do know is that I saw Maidana's mouth locked on Floyd's glove like a pit bulldog.

 

You can't bite through a professional mouthguard, a boxing glove, and still get through to the fingers.

Have your buddy put a glove on and try to bite through it to get to his fingers even without the mouthguard. It just doesn't work.

 

Where are those people who says it can? I would take a dentists' words more than a forum fan who supports a certain boxer.

Not through a glove you couldn't, ironic to say to someone you've never played contact sports when you've clearly never worn a boxing glove or worn a mouth gaurd, otherwise you'd know better than to say its possible to bite through a boxing glove. Utter nonsense.

 

You act like you need to put the whole glove in your mouth. He bit a section of it, probably near a seam enough to get the fingers. Why the F would a boxer make that up? Floyd was schooling that fool.

The jaws of death were clear in the replay but of course you'll dismiss that too. You *******s will say it wasn't conclusive. If the sheets are going up and down rapidly when you're looking at Manny's poster on the wall, then it's obvious you're fapping to your idol. No need to see it in detail.

 

The only clear thing on the Video was Floyd smothering Maidana's face but yet you saw for certain Maidanda biting Mayweather honestly can you groupies be more obsessed

 

I did see Floyd covering Maidana's mouth ... what of it? That's not the same as turning into a girl and biting during a fight.
