I would send June 1988 Mike Tyson.

 

Seems Foreman is the popular choice.
I can certainly see why.
One thing is he wouldn't be intimidated.
Surprised Lennox hasn't been picked more.

I assume Lewis would be at his motivated best for that fight, and I'm not sure there is a HW in history that could beat Lewis like that- so him.

Honorary mention to Vitali, who's iron chin give him a good chance of taking Mike's best shots and size a good chance of beating him down.

He did include said information: the Mike Tyson in 1987 who beat Tyrell Briggs.

I'll go with Foreman. I don't find it surprising that his name has come up most frequently. Lewis and Liston would be my other picks, not 100% sure either of my 3 would get the job done though

 

As much as I hate to say it, I think Vitali Klitschko would have been a hard opponent for Tyson to beat. Not saying that he wouldn't. But VK was durable and would have been the largest ( and possibly strongest ) of any of Mike's opponents. Tony Tucker and James Smith extended him the distance on size and survival tactics alone. Vitali was just as, if not more durable than both those men, usually in top condition, and bigger than either of them. Granted he was slow as they come, but also had plenty of wingspan and a decent outside fighting game. Mike might do some damage on the inside or create some sort of injury, causing a retirement or stoppage, but not sure I'd want to put money on that one...

Be my choice too. He's the only one who beat a still-formidable Tyson. (Tokyo Douglas was one fight and Buster was never consistent enough...no guarantee he'd show up in that shape again.)

He beat him twice, and I'd be hoping that he could pull it off again. I'd be shitting bricks though.

 

I'd be shitting bricks too, especially if my life depended on it. And Mike Tyson was a monster in 1987. But a prime Evander around 1990 is a good choice to turn the trick. Nobody else who Tyson faced stood up to him like the real deal would.. If Mike had gotten knocked out in his prime earning years, Don King would shed his crown all over the floor.

 

Yeah, a Lewis may do it too, but his chin could be cracked. Not entirely confident about this one.
Evander has the right combination of qualities that could allow him to win. For me, he is the most well-rounded candidate and he already did beat Tyson who was still a monster in 1996, which has to count for something.
