Yep and that is what's also wrong with boxing .Just cause Floyd is a big name, bailey allows systematci holding which is against the rules.

Lesser known fighters get repidly deducted points for excessive holding.
Baily would not do it. I know one thing, a ref like Smoger would have had his way with Floyd in that fight.

So it's a flaw because one can counter his counter? Then every counter punch is a flaw..

It's a flaw because he is risking to much when he missed because he is basically coming forward with his chin up...

    How is that a flaw?

It would be interesting to see numbers on how often using it has gotten him tagged versus how often he successfully lands the counter right flush. I would guess the former numbers would be very low and the latter extremely high. So while inherently a gamble (and not something most others should imitate), the pull-counter would seem to be, for him, an effective gamble...not a flaw.

Huck was actually tremendously pull-counter horny during his last fight. Did it like 5x per round :patsch

Except that Floyd is 37 and even now, outside a few grazing bombs clubbed down from Maidana (whom nobody else punches quite like, with those awkward crazy angles) the pull-counter served him well throughout his 24-round series with El Chino.

If he is still able to pull it off and not have it be a flaw with Chino, it won't be a flaw with anybody else (because nobody else is as equipped to exploit it, nor have they been for how long now? More conventional punches don't work against it...his reflexes are still too fast...unlike Roy who lost the overwhelming majority of his speed as he got older...)

yeah maidana did land a solid right to counter floyd's pull counter. however maidana was still getting pull countered numerous times throughout the fight. floyd's shoulder roll is not exactly the best strategy for MM as he likes to throw punches over the shoulder instead of straight where floyd can come back with his own right
