This is at MW, right? If so I am going with Rosado. Lord Knows Showtime would not give us a double header like this.

Showtime would give us Kirkland and Rosado facing unranked fighters from lighter weightclasses.

Easy fight. No contest. Rosado by KO. Probably wary.

Surprised Rosado is leading the poll. I think Kirkland stops him.

I believe it is a 156lb catch weight

This is a great fight and we'll probably get multiple KD's before it ends. I think it depends on how much punishment Rosado can take as to how long it lasts. Could be a FOTY candidate.

Is Kirkland still with Ann Wolfe? In the time without her training, he was looking bad.

Kudos to Gabriel Rosado for always taking the fights that nobody wants but I think Rosado might be too brave for his own good. He's a skilled fighter but he's the type of fighter that elite fighters just run over with ease. James Kirkland might not be active very often but he's a better fighter than Rosado.

The thing that benefits James Kirkland is that he isn't "technician" he's not going to need a fight or two to warm up after a layoff. He's going to show up in supreme condition and beat Rosado half to death.

Gabe Rosado will more than likely out-box him for the early going but he's going to get hurt and cut then it'll turn into a brawl where he'll be stopped on cuts or just knocked out.

    James Kirkland by Stoppage.

Apparently he's had the scar tissue surgically removed per the commentators on the Vera BKB fight. Probably a good idea - he claims never to have been cut prior to fighting Golovkin, but obviously it became a major problem in subsequent fights.

Guaranteed action fight, but I'm going with Gabe as the better boxer, whilst they're both tough as hell I think Rosado's got the movement and skills to stop Mandingo getting into full on 'Juggernaught' mode.

Only thing is I understand a 156 catchweight has been mentioned (proposed by Kirklands side) which I think favours Mandingo. Gabe's a big guy even at 160 and my feeling is that he shouldn't be dropping back down - though 4lbs hopefully shouldn't be too much of a game changer.

Gotta be one of the cards of the year Nov 8 - way better than some of the obscenities that have been PPV.

    Totally agree.

It's card like this that the fans want, a Main Event between the top guys in the division and then an undercard fight that is fan friendly. This card is exactly that and should be the model that all future shows on HBO and Showtime are based on.

It's also great to see that the Poll is split 50-50 on whose going to win, creates far more anticipation when the fans don't have showcase fights such as the ones Showtime have given us lately.

Isn't Kirkland that guy who lost to Ishida in round 2? Rosado destroys him ..
