Please note that the OP is on record as believing that Mayweather-Castillo II was a draw, so there's that. http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=500371
atsch YDKSAB! *******s know more about boxing than you and they're making excuses as to why it was so easy for Floyd.
The fight wasn't close at all and this type of bull**** talk is why there was an unwarranted rematch in the first place. :verysad
Maidana won the 4th, 6th, and 12th in the rematch. Honestly, I'm not sure any of the other rounds that Maidana lost were even competitive in nature. Add in the point deduction and even if you gave Maidana a 10-8 12th round, the closest realistic score I can see is 116-110.
For example the in the 3rd round Floyd got clearly hurt at the end. That is a round I scored For Maidana and that would seem to be reasonable. As for middle rounds, well the judges seem to disagree with you. They gave a lot of these rounds to Maidana.
No I do not want to see a third fight. Floyd won close decisions in both fights in my view. They were not dominating performances at all in my opinion. Also, I am disappointed in Floyd's run and hold style. I rather like to watch a boxer-puncher.A fighter like James Toney, who had a similar style than Floyd, never ran or hold.He could actually fight on the inside. Man, those were fights back then :deal.
