Iran was a good fighter. He gave Sumbu Kalambay a much better fight than the more respected Mike McCallum did the first time out. Nobody would dare suggest he's great, but he was a tough, hard-punching, decently-skilled, tenacious guy who on a good night could give most fighters problems.
Finally, an even-handed, well reasoned assessment of The Blade. Be careful, "Fists of Fury",..... clearly biased posters such as "Lord J" will move to have you banned for not cow-towing to their obvious agenda. Barkley was by no means an all time great middleweight. But, with the exception of maybe Golovkin, he would give today's top middleweights all they could handle, and would clearly beat some of them
I seem to remember he beat contenders like Michael Olajide and James Kinchen too, when they were highly rated. And as much as I admire Duran's performance, I feel Barkley was a bit unlucky not to get that decision. I mean, it could easily have gone his way. I thought his loss to Benn was close too, seriously. He had some close wins too, so all is fair. Two wins over Hearns. It's hard to say fluke when he did it twice. :deal
Because Markq was a troll and the only thing he could post was Pacroid.. He doesn't even made a bit of a sense in every f***ing post he had.. :verysad And the only poster complaining was you? :think Are you his alt or something?
