Seems a bit too early for Junior for me,maybe the Eubank clan ego wants this, you cant deny though its interesting even for the opportunity how Jr handles a fighter whos live and really up for it and who dont drive a taxi in lithuania
Saunders by late tko or points

Would some one of the pro Eubank majority here please explain to me ..a neutral...exactly WHAT they are basing their confidence in EUBANK on?
Can you cite any examples of where he showed BJS-beating form against BJS-level opposition?
Because until you do, your argument holds no water.
It is just aspiration, just hope really, isn't it?

I see this CEJ has fought no one, BJS has fought at a much higher level for such a long time as rubbish, Granted he's fought at a higher level, however let's be frank , he's fought once in the last 13 months compared to CEJ's 6.IMO - John Ryder, Spike O'Sullivan & Matty Hall are a level above Jukic & Hovarth but it is the way Eubank is getting rid of them, none of the fighters BJS has fought (and not stopped over 12) appear to have half the power / accuracy of CEJ

It can't be denied that Eubank Jr has proven little to the public with the level of opposition he's faced. But the people around him who've seen him spar with top level boxers (much better than BJS level opposition) are comfortable with him taking this fight. That suggests it might not just be hype. I have a feeling BJS is going to get battered in this fight. And it's not because he isn't a good boxer.

CEJ seems to fight in bursts...he seems unable to sustain a follow through attack to finish off a hurt opponent. He may catch BJS and hurt him, but has he got the engine and work rate to follow through if BJS doesn't obligingly fall over for him?

His dad was a lot like that..not good at sustained attacks ..a bit of "engine trouble" I feel. Fighting in explosive short bursts won't do it against a guy who works consistently 3 minutes a round IMO...

I do give Jnr the advantage in power over BJS...but then EVERYONE has an advantage in power over BJS...

No doubt on their respective records this would be seen as a mismatch but boxing isn't decided by records and sometimes you just have to go with your instinct and what your knowledge of boxing tells you.

BJS is a good domestic and European boxer, had a decent amateur career but he just misses that vital ingredient that tells me he's not World class. He also did struggle with Ryder and O'Sullivan, no shame in that considering he was only 22 or 23 at the time but even though he's improved since then i think he's probably hit his ceiling by winning the European Title.

Eubank is just an enigma and one off, has great foot and handspeed and his power is starting to become frightening. I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the UK's most talked about and successful boxer over the next 5 years.

I was on board with Eubank Jr before but after this the way he handed Carl Froch in this sparring session makes me an even bigger believer. Yes i know you can't go off sparring too much but i liked the way he countered Froch with right hands and stayed very composed and elusive. The kid is just a natural and i'd be surprised if he didn't go all the way.

There is a lot in what you say, no doubt.
However as against that, Eubank jr does fight in spurts. Classy bursts yes, but short bursts nonetheless. His dad couldn't sustain an attack well either as I recall. Both resort to "bluffing and posing" for extended periods during fights.

BJS on the other hand fights at a smooth sustained pace for 3 minutes a round.
    Can jr cope with this?
Will BJS slick moving and punching prove to be Eubank kryptonite?
Have Eubanks team picked the wrong man for his"step up fight"?
    Have they miscalculated?

His dad had trouble with slick movers in his time. Time will tell. :bbb

It's not Rocket Science. Eubank is a deadly accurate and hard hitter with speed to boast. BJS is an overweight sausage who tarmacs driveways during the week.

I can't see Eubank Snr guiding Jnr to his first loss and I can't see Saunders turning down a pay day so what does that tell you without pointlessly comparing records.

Makes me wonder about the original Fury v Chisora bill this does. Very well known tickets weren't selling to well, makes you wonder if the plug was pulled.. this fight was hyped up after previous talk (e.g. BJS calling him out after his last fight... live on BoxNation) and now it's been added to the bill, which will now sell easy.

As for the fight itself, if you'd asked me this 6-12 months ago I'd have said BJS kicks his arse all day everyday. Now, well now I'm really not sure!! Comparing what the two have achieved, Eubank Jr has looked good blowing, no disrespect, below par fighters away. BJS however, he's been in and overcome some solid opponents e.g. Ryder.

Eubank Jr however, is doing what his old man done at a similar stage in his career. You can say he's looked class in fighting fighters who are not at his level, but what he's doing behind closed doors is finding himself top QUALITY sparring - e.g. Groves, Froch, Degale... and yes, I know 'sparrings sparring' and all that, but it's no secret he done well in these.

So even though he's not been in with the level BJS has been at competitively, I think he'll be ready and confident to step up in class against BJS.

    Great domestic fight this.

That's the thing I have a problem with about this fight. How is Eubank going o win rounds? Actually WIN rounds!
He can't or won't sustain an effort for more than 10-15 seconds at a time. If Joe just slips and slides and shoe_shines ...but does it for 3 minutes a round, he has the fight won.

It is far more credible for me that BJS can achieve this, than that Eubank can ko Joe in one of his 10- second flurries. :bbb
