    " got a surprise for y'all in May" mayweather. insinuating a possible Pacquiao fight coming next. Who else would be a big surprise opponent for mayweather, no one but pacquiao.

    Pacquiao, " were in serious negotiations with mayweather". Only talks mayweather when he has a fight signed with someone else.

    I'm a fan of both, I've been buying both of their ppvs for years. I've noticed something and I'm tired of it they use each others name to sell the current fight they have coming. They dangle and tease us with no real intention to make the fight next as they would suggest.

    At this point for both of them, there is only one fight the fans care to see. Everyone else is just a bonus fight. I get it too, if they fight each other what's next other then a rematch. If mayweather looses, he looses his allure of being undefeated, and no one will buy his ppvs. If pacquiao losses its not quite the same but his stock goes down and who'd buy his ppvs atfer.

    I think the only real 'surprise' that might come from that fight is we may get to see Floyd apply for a passport to leave the comfort of his home and fight in the UK.

    Mayweather's "surprise" is nothing different than Arum's imaginary "secret talks". They both play those games to keep people hoping and luring them in to tune in for their upcoming fights. This has been ongoing since 2009.

    with this announcement of sr., amere will cancel his december fight and wait for the floydey fight in may next year. just what he did last year. then floydey proceeds to fight somebody else.

    Think you may be right. Vegas crowd has got to be sick of paying top dollar to watch him running around the ring and looking at the clock.

    Pathetic. Floyd will never fight Pacquiao. Which by now is frankly bizarre, seeing as most boxing fans I know pick Mayweather to beat him comfortably (as opposed to 2009 when it really was a 50-50 fight)

    Didn't Maidana openly claim he's ready to turn down the fight with Mayweather for a rematch with Khan?. Khan responded with "I have bigger fish to fry." and ended up seeing Mayweather ignore him and fight Maidana. :lol:
