All easily, Judah is borderline but since he really had like 3 careers in one is impressed

    Are in:
    -Oscar de la Hoya
    -Arturo Gatti

    Will get in:
    -Juan Manuel Marquez
    -Miguel Cotto
    -Shane Mosley

    Fringe, debatable, and/or probable entrees:
    -Jose Luis Castillo
    -Diego Corrales
    -Ricky Hatton
    -Genaro Hernandez

Much less likely than the grouping above, but still a tiny shout out:
    -Zab Judah

Way too early to tell but early resume, promotional platform, and popularity give a chance:
    -Saul Alvarez

How many were PRIME when he fought them? That is what matters. I could beat the sh*t outta Ali right now but it doesn't mean a thing. If I did it 40 years ago it would mean a lot more.

    I don't ever recall that...

Ortiz was pretty much the last opponent that Mayweather showed no respect for and verbally tore up a bit before and after the fight. So I sort of doubt he said that and certainly doubt he meant it.

How many HOF level fighters take losses in their prime?

Not many. Very few fighters hold a single win over a HOF'er who was in their prime. The prime of a HOF-level fighter doesn't usually contain any defeats, especially in today's era.

I could list Cotto and Marquez but you would tear those selections apart citing defeats before or not ideal weight classes despite each of them going on to score either their career best or second best victory after Floyd beat them. I could list Hatton but it would be dismissed by the difference of JWW-WW (which certainly holds an argument, I'm not saying it doesn't)... People see what they want to see and judge what they want to judge. It is easier to be negative about anything than it is to be positive.

Corrales and Castillo were undoubtedly in their prime.

    And TS...

Miguel Cotto is not a "(maybe)," he is a definite. With his accomplishment and popularity, there is no way he will not get in.

I think that Mosley, Marquez, and Cotto are the only locks. Castillo and Corrales stand pretty good chances as well. I can't see anyone else that he's beat so far aside from maybe Hatton.

Most of the HOF's did lose in their prime so I'm not sure where you came up with that... Foreman, Hearns, Klitschko, Delahoya, Gatti, Whittaker, Lennox Lewis, Duran.... I could go on.

Marquez was in his fighting prime...he was still fighting at a high level. You seem to be taking kind of a butthurt approach, like I am insulting Floyd. I'm not. Facts are facts. It's not much different than people criticizing ODH for his prime losses, despite the fact that they were largely to prime HOF's and the fact that most of them were close fights.

I give way more credit to ODH than I do Floyd or Manny when it comes to Mosley for example. Floyd and Manny smoked a shot version...ODH arguably beat a confirmed roided up version of PRIME mosley. Not all agree, but that is how I rank fighters.
