To honest he'd be lucky to make it out of there after 12 rounds

    Nice

The answer, at least in my humble opinion, really boils down to 2 things. I can't see Pac avoiding Canelo for an entire 12 rounds, and when Canelo starts catching him, he'll wear Pac down and likely stop him.

I have no reason to believe Pacquiao can take his power, nor do I have any reason to believe he can employ that stick and move strategy that everyone keeps insisting he'll use. Canelo is flat-footed, sure, but was able to catch up with the much more defensive, much more illusive Lara (say what you will about who you thought won, it doesn't take away from the fact).

As far Canelo dealing with what Pac has to offer. Pac might get in a couple surprise straight left hand pot shots, along with some combinations using his speed advantage, but eventually, after some early body work, Canelo would catch up with Pac and destroy him with his power. I have no doubt that Canelo can survive Pac's power without going down. I have no reason to believe he can't cut off the ring on Pac, who, as I said, never really does a great job staying on the outside for very long unless he's fighting a pure inside fighter like Brandon Rios

Here this is my post from another thread. Also applicable here.

Manny stopped Hatton brutally in 2 Mayweather almost went the distance
Manny stopped De La Hoya, Oscar almost beat Floyd
Manny stopped Cotto, Cotto had success against Floyd
Manny dropped Mosley, Mosley almost stopped Floyd.
Manny destroyed Margarito who was a SMW, Floyd ducked him.
Manny dropped Marquez countless times, Floyd dropped him once. I know KO6 it took him 4 tries.
Manny stopped prime Morales twice, Floyd ducked him
Manny stopped and beat Barrera, Floyd ducked him as well.
This pretty much says it all:deal

Manny beats Canelo worse than Floyd

Manny beat Floyd's leftovers besides Cotto. He also lost all 4 fights again Marquez and got put to sleep. Floyd never ducked Margarito or Barrera, but Manny did duck Floyd by refusing to take a drug test.

I think the fight is more like a toss up, I pasted that post from a Floyd ass kissing thread to get at Ellerbe.
I think Pacquiao's style would give fits to Canelo, Canelo doesn't have the counter punching ability of Marquez, but he is a great combination puncher if he can land on his opponent, Pacquiao's in and out movement would frustrate the hell out of Canelo. Also I think Canelo's punching power is slightly overrated, he has the same KO percentage as Brandon Rios, I like Canelo he's currently one of my favorite fighters but Pacquiao is next level even the diminished version of him. Canelo has more than a good chance but I lean Pacquiao.

Close fights are not loses 1 and 2 Manny won, 3 was a toss up and 4, obviously someone else refused to take the test.

Your right he beat Floyd's leftovers but....far more impressively, and its not like Mayweather leaves his opponents with irreparable damage. Margarito Morales and Barrera weren't leftovers.

YDKSAB Canelo's countering ability is better than his combination punching.

Yeah beating a drained and extremely old Oscar at 147 is so impressive! Besides the round where Floyd got shook against Mosley, Floyd was far more impressive in that fight overall. I will say that Manny beat Hatton more impressively, but that's all. Floyd schooled Marquez all 12 rounds, and Manny lost all 4 fights, that says it all.

Manny won the first 2 in a close fight. Fight 3 with JMM was just a robbery and fight 4 JMM showed Manny who his daddy is

Stop going full ******, it's pretty obvious to anyone that knows a lick about boxing that his counter punching is better than his combination punching.
