Mayweather "Canelo can fight on May 2nd too, fight in Mexico

Mayweather must be fooling himself. Canelo is fighting May 2nd against Cotto and mayweather cant fight anybody else to comapres to that fight expect for Pacquiao. So i stand by what I said a long time ago. Cotto-Canelo might actually make the Mayweather-Pac fight! If Mayweather thinks he can go in there with Khan to the MGM and Oscar goes in there with Cotto-Canelo i can almost promise you there taking Cotto-Canelo!

I already feel the buzz for Cotto-Canelo. First off there needs to be a mexican fighting on that date. im over Mayweather fighting on that date,. **** gets old!!! Canelo is the top mexican fighter in the sport right now. Cotto is still the best Puerto Rican fighter in the world. the Rivalry, i mean it gets no better!

Mayweather must be crazy. heres a few more things. If the PPV numbers come back 800k or worse i truly think Showtime wont be happy. Showtime might just try to put all there effort in to trying to get Cotto-Canelo because I got a good feeling it will be on HBO. so showtime will try to get that fight. Mayweather is the biggest draw in the sport but those 2 fighters together make the biggest fight in boxing aside for Mayweather Pac.

SO unless mayweather is fighting Pac he best figure out when hes gonna fight again. PPL might say there'll do a split PPV or something...YOUR CRAZY!! wont happen because there most likely be on separate networks. and if he dares to actually go against Cotto-Canelo on the same date he will lose bad.

Lets see what happens folks! either were getting Mayweather-Pac or mayweather wont fight on the date for the first time in a long time, we i find refreshing :bbb:bbb

 

I agree. Mayweather has been surrounded by yes men for too long. Maybe he fired Ellerbe because he told Mayweather this very fact and Mayweather didn't like it.

 

Could be true. Ellebre could've said "hey the Cotto-Canelo fight is very tough comp unless you fight Pac so we gotta make some decisisons" Mayweather "your fired!"

Cotto/Canelo @ 154 is a very interesting fight.

Cotto-Canelo might be bigger in Vegas but the PPV providers might stay with Mayweather even if he fights Khan etc.

 

Maybe from a historical perspective, but Canelo/Cotto promises to be the better fight.

Nah no chance. The carriers know what Floyd did with Canelo, vs what he does without Canelo. They also know Cotto. If HBO distributes the fight, every carrier going to pick it up and run with it.
