Anyone who does not recognize that chin, as a general rule, improves with added size has never boxed... nor ever watched the sport with even half a discerning eye.

explain then, how does chin increase with added size.

not stability on feet, and not blows near the chin protected by fat/muscle say on the neck. CHIN. When someone connects with your chin, what difference do extra pounds make to how the brain reacts to being scrambled momentarily.

How doe the extra muscles/fat/bone change the way the brain reacts to being 'indirectly' hit?

Walk into a gym, go a round with five different heavies, then go a round with five different middles. Tell me what you think.

    NO

you qualify what you just said.

    remember, chin and nothing else.

once again, how do the extra layers of fat muscle plus bone tissue distributed around the body affect how the brain reacts to being knocked off centre?

Johnson's performance against Willard for 20+ rounds (and years past his prime) shows he can do well with a very big and tall man. He also outboxed the very tall Ed Martin, who was favored to beat him. Speed, skill, experience, and ring generalship are wonderful things to have.

One of the questions one has to ask is whether Johnson would be allowed to use performance enhancing drugs, and/or whether Vlad would not be allowed to use them.

Larger structured humans, as a general trend, are more durable and have greater punch resistance than their smaller framed, finer featured brethren. They also tend (note:tend) to punch harder. There are good reasons for weight divisions.

If you don't believe me and experience, there are plenty of guys on this board who have boxed who should chime in. I'm pretty confident what their response will be.

I don't care wehat you've written in that post, you can repeat it forever and bring an army of Spartans to chime their approval.

What do you have to say about CHIN?

One theory is that it is harder for a smaller mass to hit and move a larger mass.

Throw a golf ball at a basketball and you will not be able to move it as mch as you would if you threw say a baseball at the basketball. Without getting too technical it is harder for the smaller person to hit and move a bigger person. In theory i guess if middleweight Roy Jones can hurt middleweight James Toney, if Toney eats his way up to superheavyeight, the same middleweight Jones Jr can hit him equally as hard, but it will do less damage because the extra weight means that more power needs to be delivered to achieve the same results. Of course this is oversimplified and manyother things like condition etc need to be considered, but there is a sensible theory that says chin is increased with size.

What exactly do you think CHIN is?

I am not sure you understand the concept.

This reminded me of a Steve Collins interview I listened to a while back. As a young man he said he was determined to be heavyweight champion (his hero was Marciano). And then he got in the ring and sparred with some heavyweights. He freely admitted that after a few rounds of that, he realised the heavyweight division wasn't for him.

I can see you are a moron but pay attention to a few of Vlad's fights watch the way he snapped back Povetkins head with a jab, watch the way he buckled and dropped him with a jab twist hook, look at the right hand that felled Brock and Thompson, look at the hook that flat KO'd Chambers and the set of skills that kept Haye at bay, no he is no Willard and he is not Ketchel, he is a 240lb former Olympic gold medalist and 65 fight veteran, there was no such animal in Johnson's day

Wlad breaks him down and stops him between rounds 8/11

Johnson was great but he NEVER got inda ring with a Wladimir type. The closest was Willard and even tho he was past his best then... Wlad is a different animal. I mean Wladimir is much better then Willard!

Maybe I can see a Wlad UD, otherwise a late KO for Wlad.

Willard was very poor defensively, and offensively. Willard lost decisions to lesser men in Rodel and McMahon, and once quit in a fight.

Wlad is light years ahead of Willard and has always tested clean.

    Its a mis-match Adam.
