Lets say 1 million PPV's at $75 a pop thats $75 million you get half of that for the network you have roughly 37 million you deduct 32 million for Floyd's guaranteed Maidana's 3 million and the undercards plus all promotional expenses then you're left with basically nothing. Then you say "what about the live gate revenues?". Even with the additional revenues you are making nothing so how is that GOOD? There's no way Showtime made a six-fight contract with Floyd averaging over 32 mil per fight with the expectation he would draw under a million PPV buys 3 out of 4 times out.

Maidana was obviously a challenging fight given the closeness of the first fight. That he did nearly a million buys against such "terrible" opposition is just testement to his ability to draw. And dont get me wrong, i hate floyd as much as the guy but he's fought plenty of challenges.
