    I suggest you go back and revisit the pre-fight threads which had Hopkins too old and Shumenov too fast, too young, too strong, and a Calzaghe-like work rate. :yep

    The short sorta fat guy? Skoglund looked to gas pretty bad which was a little surprising since he had been 10 and 12 before and he was struggling alot inside in the final rounds i assumed it was mainly due to the fatigue though.

    lol What? The top guys were Dawson, Cloud, Pascal, Hopkins and who were these promosing newcomers replenishing the ranks?

    There is some validity here, definitely neither of them deserved a title shot based on accomplishment they were simply guys who were willling to fight Sergei and basically stay busy quality. By relevant i simply meant a guy consistently rated in the top 15 through their career, Caparillo i agree with you but i do think Agnew doesn't look half bad. BTW i think Fonfara is a level above the rest in the category it's just where he fit, Sillakh will always be dangerous and capable of pulling off an upset but is way too chinny to consistently stay at the top.

    Regardless it doesn't negate the quality and depth of the prospects i named i doubt there is a division in the sport with such a quantity of upcoming talent. I would be willing to bet that at least a half dozen will become title quality boxers on the level of Kovalev/Stevenson and several others very solid contenders which will consistently produces noteworthy and memorable fights in the division.

    Basically i think everyone listed here has the potential to be between a titlist - very serious contender quality and at least 12 will fulfill that which would make for a stacked division.

    The Cuban Sullivan Barrera is also a pretty decent prospect. He's undefeated in 12 but he's not the youngest at 32 years of age. He's signed to Main Events and he shares the same manager as Kovalev, too.

    He holds a couple of amateur victories over Beibut Shumenov (one via 2nd round stoppage) and he also beat Chad Dawson 21-11.

    Here's what he said about it.

    Q:You had over 300 amateur fights. What would you say was your best win as an amateur?

    A: ''I almost sent Chad Dawson to the morgue. I beat the crap out of “Bad Chad”.

    He's fighting a guy called Eric Watkins tomorrow night.

    He might move up for one fight, but I can't see him hanging around any longer than that to be honest. I know he promised to give Pascal a rematch at 175 after they fought each other.

    You must have forgotten and mistakenly failed to mention and list Lucien Bute who is fighting at LHW now.
    As I recall he has a date at LHW with TBA in December.
