Mayweather seemed as if he wasn't very motivated for his last 3 fights and except for that $30M, had no real inspiration.
Some time off may help him to get his head on straight.
I mean, it's not as if he owes $78M in taxes and really HAS to fight when he doesn't want.

 

He gets a little beat up in his last two fights and already he wants a long break. He's getting older and it can backfire on him if he comes back

It's gonna be a thing of beauty when this happens. If he ever takes a semi-risky fight again he'll come back one time too many and get his **** kicked in.

 

I think he realizes the few guys left to cause him serious problems are the only guys left to fight. And it's clear he doesn't have the physical makeup to do too many grueling fights. And that's even with the fact he spent a huge chunk of his career fighting in a safety first style and he's still wanting longer than average rests. I always thought he was fragile hence his style
