GGG by most fans' account is a dangerous and credible opponent. Would this fight at 154 or 160 beat the Cotto vs Canelo fight in PPV sales?

I personally don't think GGG is a big enough name.

But then again, at 160 thats almost a certain loss for Mayweather (something fans have been waiting for, for a long time). So would it be able to generate enough interest to beat a Cotto vs Canelo fight?

Short answer is no. The biggest Mexico PR fight that can be made is gonna do better than most anything out there. At 154 Canelo can probably leverage it to Texas. Cotto may have to put his MW strap on the line to get it at msg. Either way much bigger fight IMO

It might break records, because so many people would buy the fight to watch Floyd get annihilated by GGG. Floyd would literally get KTFO by GGG. Floyd is not like Duran, who started at lightweight and went up to middle and supermiddle. Floyd is a pu$$y who is scared to even go up to light middle.

yes because everyone would be like "i want to be there when floyd finally gets a loss"

alot of people buy his fights hoping he loses (much like they did to ali). atleast with GGG its like 95% likely

I think you're probably right. Personally, I'd much rather see Mayweather vs GGG but I could see how established/establishing names like Cotto and Canelo with their PR vs Mexico rivalry would top that fight.

But since Mayweather vs GGG is the stuff of fantasy (since Mayweather doesn't fight people that have a chance of beating him), I'm happy with Cotto vs Canelo.

I'm also quite happy they are gonna push Mayweather off his date. He doesn't deserve it if he isn't going to take challenges.

Canelo v Cotto will do worse than Flloyd v Maidana. Cotto-Martinez flopped. Canelo-Angulo flopped.

If thats the case, then why is Mayweather likely giving up that date? He knows whats up. This fight is a real mega fight and threat to his garbage fights. Only his most devoted fans say otherwise.

Sure would, but Mayweather would never take that fight. He might take a fight against Quillin since they are both Haymon fighters.

No As a fan of GGG being realistic he doesn't have the widespread fame of Cotto and Canelo, it would be huge with us, but not with them,

I expect Canelo-Cotto to make 600k views or am I downplaying it?
