    Hopkins was the Lineal LHW champ twice as well. Both times he pulled off upsets to do so :D

    Something that truly cements Hopkins legacy is the number of upsets he has pulled.
    Calzaghe, Tarver, Pascal x2, Pavlik, Dawson and Cloud were all favourites to beat him.
    4-2-1 with 1 NC. The loss to Calzaghe is still a hot topic on this site and the draw with Pascal is very debatable.

    And he did all that past his best. The only other fighter i mention who was past his best as well was Calzaghe.

    Jones was undisputed LHW champ twice Hopkins hasn't accomplished that at light heavy and I thought he lost the 1st Pascal, fight.

    If he beats Kovalev and Stevenson, he'll have essentially cleaned out the division. He's already beaten Pascal, Cloud, and Shumenov.

    Jones wasn't the lineal champ at LHW. Michalczewski was.

    Jones was undisputed LHW champ to look it up it ! DM lost his claim when he was stripped for refusing to fight his mandatories !

    Only belt he hung on to was the WBO ..A meaningless trinket at the time !

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    DM never refused to fight his Mandatories. The WBA and IBF just outright stripped the belts. The WBA never even named a Mandatory for him.

    Sure about that or are you telling lies again ?

    Boy how we forget our history !!

    William Guthrie was his mando for the IBF and a King fighter who they refused to fight that's why he stripped of that belt ..And the WBA stripped him because he refused to fight Lou Devalle that's why he was able to pick that belt after he was awarded a title shot after he was robbed against Hill !

    But I know they never named a mandatory :lol:

    :hi:

    Hopkins was the LHW champ twice. Lineal and Ring. That is irrefutable.

    How sure are you of this?

    Have you looked at some of the fighters DM faced through his LHW title reign?? He faced even worse fighters than Roy... I think you have even agreed with me on this in the past, but it is like you to forget and go back into your Jones hating romance.:lol::good
