Floyd Mayweather vs. Amir Khan speculation & discussion

Floyd won't fight Khan. He knows he would have got outpointed as an amateur against Khan and that Khan poses a huge stylistic threat.

This Showtime deal is almost a joke.4fights and 3 have been flopped,and against mediocre opposition.

Guerrero and Maidana are not PPV worthy opponents.even Khan is debatable,but atleast Khan is really good fighter and step up from these slow podders.yes Khan has losses,but always KO.and against Floyd Khan chin is safe,Floyd is technician,not KO artist.

Khan also can market a fight,could and should be +1 mill PPV.and Khan has more name than Guerrero and Maidana combined.

Floyd probably wants Garcia next,and that's easy money.Khan is better than Garcia.atleast stylewise against Floyd.

Amir Khan has not had a credible win since 2011, he needs to shut the **** up about Mayweather and at least try to earn his shot for once in his career instead of looking for things to be handed to him.

If Khan beats Thurman or Brook then more people (even me) will call for Mayweather Vs Khan but ....

You can't beat Molina, Diaz, Collazo and probably Josesito Lopez and expect anybody to suggest Khan deserves a shot/payday against Mayweather. It is just not a seller off the back of those four opponents. Khan has to make a statement at Welterweight in his next fight.

 

And Guerrero ticket to Floyd was Berto.Maidana got trough Broner.

Berto and Broner are C-class fighters.

And by the way,Khan beat Maidana.

Can you give one credible win for Guerrero or Maidana to earn Floyd fight?Khan has earned it way more than either of these two.

i'm not saying Khan should get the fight,but he is more credible opponent than Guerrero or Maidana.

Oh,and Maidana has unfinished business against Khan.Floyd picking Khan leftovers.

Floyd is great fighter,but last couple of years have been total farce.

After Floyd fight Guerrero went life and death against Kamegai,we will see how Maidana will fare next fight.

Remember Maidana biggest win is Broner at WW :rofl

and Broner struggled mightly against shot to **** Malignaggi,that should say it all.

Please open your eyes,there are so many better options for Floyd.especially picking Guerrero was total joke.Maidana is debatable

 

Maidana earned it beating Broner,Soto Karass and LOPEZ :deal

Maidana also has unfinished business against Khan

Guerrero earned it against Aydin,Berto? :rofl

How in the earth Khan has not earned it,if this is the standard to earn Floyd fight?

 

then who will mayweather fight next? there is no undefeated fighter out there who is a draw

also maidana had khan problems, kotelnik problems, alexander problems, etc. and mayweather fought him not once but TWICE haha.... so he owns himself with this new excuse

 

Floyd won't fight Khan because:

1. He will get outpointed
2. He's not a draw by himself, he has to fight on Mexican holidays and his opponents must be Hispanic/Latin to draw PPV numbers.

 

Judging by the Collazo fight he will fight a similar fight the way Canelo fought Mayweather and I don't think Khan is better than Canelo.
he will try to throw shots from range that will be slipped and countered by Mayweather, wide UD or late stoppage I reckon.

 

You realize Khan & Hunter are adapting his gameplans and way of fighting depending on opponent?

He wouldn't fight Floyd anything like the way he fought Collazo. Floyd wouldn't be walking down trying to press Khan like Collazo...

Reason why Alexander is a more interesting fight to me than Guerrero or Lopez...because Lopez & Guerrero would just try to walk Khan down and go for the KO...

It would be an interesting boxing match...They'd both use the centre of the ring & just work off the jab all fight long...Floyd would be setting himself looking for countershots whilst Khan occasionally moving around and trying to time shots that Floyd wouldn't be ready for (see Khan Judah fight)

Would turn into how Floyd's timing & countering counteract Khan's speed & range. the good ol' shoulder roll should make it's reappearance as well effectively deflecting Khan right hands.

It's just so much more of an interesting style matchup than watching Maidana & Guerrero throw the slowest shots you've ever seen then gassing before Floyd takes complete control...
