Why is that you're standard response?

If the name of the thread had been "Is Pac a Top 5 Talented Fighter" then we'd be talking about Pac but it isn't and that's why we're not.

First of all the answer is no. but secondly it's you Mayweather fans that keep calling him TBE the most talented ever bull **** over and over again, so guess what a few of us who know he's not are going to say it like it is. So if you want to stop some us from being realistic than stop promoting this crap.

I enjoy watching both Floyd and Pac. Why both? simple because I can, I don't have to chose one or the other. I enjoy Floyd's boxing skills but I think Pac's fights are more exciting to watch.

But I'm really starting to hate Floyd fans because it's not stop bs about how great he is 24/7

Floyd was blessed with incredible God Given boxing talents. Good enough to have rated him among the ATG's BUT !! He was also cursed with the courage, cojones , general intelligence of a gnat. Talent alone does not make an ATG What you do with those talents does. Had he acted like a true champion & taken on all comers, instead of cherry picking opponents while making ludicrous demands of them to enable them to get the fight, Floyd could now be universally regarded as an ATG on. of the best ever
As it stand Floyd does not deserve to have his name put in the same sentence as the real ATG's . In 10 yrs time sadly Floyd will be broke & on skid row and no one will remember his name

Good God how many threads have been dedicated to asking whether Floyd is one of the all time greats, lists are very subjective things, if you think he is he is to you, if not he's not, its all in the eye of the beholder everyone's list is different

In his prime he has a great offense. Watch him in the Gotti and Hatton fights. He fought flawless.

I'm not convinced Roy lacked fundamentals. It seems after the Tarver KO his chin was never the same. He was still able to outbox just about everyone until they hit him clean on the chin.

He almost won the cruiserweight title until he got knocked out. He was able to beat Tarver in the third fight but wasn't throwing punches because he just was knocked out.

Not really sure. How exactly are we gauging "talent"?

Obviously he is very talented, but he has been boxing his whole life. He is a gym rat and train-a-holic.

Roy Jones had ridiculous physical gifts that most people can only dream of. I suppose that can give him an edge over others in "talent", but he also has been boxing his whole life.

Wilfred Benitez was a notorious lazy **** in the gym, but he defeated ATGs in Roberto Duran and Antonio Cervantes (when Benitez was just 17), HOFer Carlos Palomino when he was 20, Wilfred Hope....he won titles in 3 divisions when titles were much harder to come by, and he was known for poor training and lifestyle habits.

Hector Camacho Sr. was another notoriously lazy **** who trained on coke, vodka, and whores. He still achieved a lot and had two of the fastest hands ever, fast feet and legs, good fluidity.

Not sure how we are gauging "talent", it's training and hard work too.
