I have returned from exile.:DD: Here's another prospect thread.

Vasily Lepikhin is a 31 year old 6'3.5 Russian with a 17-1-1 9 KO's record. Born in Chelyabinsk, Russia and fighting out of Chelyabinsk, Russia. He was previously managed by Dmitry Pirog, currently he's being managed by manager extraordinaire Egis Klimas, he has decent peek a boo defense, is good at rolling with and slipping punches, is a savage body puncher odd for someone who is almost 6'4. Very intelligent, good at cutting off the ring has what appears to be a solid chin. He hails from the town that brought us The Krusher, while he brings the brawn, can Lepikhin bring the brains. He seems to be a very promising Prospect. :toney:toney:toney:toney
The Cold Wind that is blowing its getting stronger everyday, Winter is Coming.
He's also a good looking kid.

Postscript: I really high hopes but he was brutally exposed by Isaac Chilemba, something has been misfiring with The Professor since the Junior fight, he may still be able to salvage his career if he can find himself a new trainer other than his father.

Soon Russians will control all of the LHW titles, Kovalev Beterbiev Gvozdyk and Lepikhin.

Give me a break:D I'm trying to get their names out there. I did a thread on Gvozdyk I know he's Ukrainian, but most people don't care.

I use to get a lot of heat for calling the Klitschkos Russian but actually about 50% of Ukrainians prefer to refered to as Russian and for the Ukraine to be apart of Russia please thank you. Ala Crimea voting to be Russia and the revolution now. You see actually I knew and understood this years ago and have a great understanding of geopolitical science and the Klitschko's fans were just rather ignorant

A lot of great British Light heavy weights as well

The Klychko's sure as hell aren't in that catagory, you're the ignorant fool. Neither are Lomachenko who is from near Odessa and Usyk from The Crimea both are very patriotic Ukrainians so just stick to your brain numbing CNN and American baby spoon feeding narratives.

Who are these British LHW prospects?

Lepikhin has only had the one fight against a relatively proven opponent in Berridge, but, damn, he looked impressive there.

There's a three year hiatus in his career from 2010 to 2013 due to injury and I'm not quite sure whether he's now signed to a particular promoter (despite Main Events having obviously made the Berridge fight), but he's apparently managed by Dmitry Pirog having relocated from Cheylabinsk to Gelendzhik.

    http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/interview-vasiliy-lepikhin-257451

We'll have to see how he performs against some more reasonable opponents but he looks as if he could make some waves alongside the better known EE prospects at 175.

He looks huge at the weight, but nontheless moves pretty well and seems to have good handspeed - I was particularly impressed by his bodywork against Berridge, but again - I'd like to see how he'll perform against someone who he didn't have such great physical advantages over.

EDIT. OK - could be he's with German Titov promotions, but it seems like they have ties with Main Events - with whom they Co-promote Dmitry 'The Mechanic' Mikhailyenko (also from Gelendzhik). If a similar deal could be put in place for Lephikin I'm hoping we get to see more of 'The Professor' in the increasingly talent rich LHW division.

EDIT. Also in the above interview he describes himself as being managed by Klimas, though previously he's been managed by Pirog. Whether this is some kinda co-management deal or whether Klimas is a kinda agent (or Lepikhin's left Pirog) it suggests he's seeking to base himself in the US as Klimas has made something of a speciality in representing EE fighters in the US.

Main Events has a pretty chummy relationship with NBC, so its very likely, thankfully.
