    Round 12

García Hirales is throwing icepicks with both hands, leaning forward, otherwise eschewing defense. Mendoza is just sweeping out hooks and uppercuts. Both are just letting punches fly and letting the chips fall where they may. The result is messy but edge-of-your-seat suspenseful. Lots of missing both ways, except with the body punches. Mendoza is caught by a right hook, left cross, right jab, right hook. Mendoza lands a right jab on the body and slaps a left onto García Hirales' face.

    10-9 García Hirales

    114-111 Mendoza

Mendoza touched the canvas but it was a low blow, wasn't it? I didn't see any other punch land in the replay

    Fight of September?

The only real competition springing to mind would include Soto vs. Molina, Gonzalez vs. Yaegashi, and Broner vs. Taylor - anything else?

I stand by the Kongfah fight being a contender, yeah it was only a 4-rounder between two unskilled guys in Thailand...but **** was it amazing!

Soto Molina was a little better, they were hitting each other much harder.
