no, because neither frampton nor especially quigg are the draw hatton was. galahad is fun to watch, crowds should grow with time.

 

What happened to fighters wanting to be the best? Wish i was old enough to watch boxing in the 80's when best fought the best and didn't use things like high risk low reward as a excuse

 

galahad has to accept quigg's terms because less people watch sky than 5? that's illogical. and while frampton has decent support, nobody will eclipse hatton anytime soon.

 

David do u think Galahad beats quigg or frampton he has been hurt a few times but always has done enough for win but quigg and frampton will be biggest punchers he has faced would like to see how Galahad would cope with say Martinez first

 

until they pull in huge numbers (not impossible for frampton) the situations aren't analogous. and we don't know how finances compare, but fat mick claimed they made a substantial offer to quigg. certainly 5 and maxi nutrition see galahad as their star right now until fury returns, as it stands will sky throw serious money behind quigg? he's way down their list of priorities.

 

I think Galahad is a better fighter technically than Witter.

Galahad if promoted right def could become a world champion.

 

Galahad gets the nod over Witter in most departments for me.

With regards to Quigg / Frampton , so long as Kid continues to progress at the rate he is,then he'll be firmly in that mix in the next 2 years (also consider that Frampton & Quigg are developing nicely too though)

As for crowd pulling, he's a lighter weight (notorious for not selling well - exception Hatton) but once the big fights start rolling in,then I'd expect a Brook type crowd for these fights, worth noting that the way things are headed Adam Etches will be progressign at a similar rate, 2 Sheffield fighters fighting for World (albeit paper) titles would sell out - no doubt!

 

His name doesn't help. Khan fans don't know much about boxing so probably don't register his name when they see it.

If he changed it back to Abu Hamza or whatever his real name is he would sell a lot more tickets.

Galahad isn't ready for either of those 2 right now, not sure he will ever be either.

He's a dedicated fighter, so you have to give him credit. He's in the gym for all hours day in day out trying to make himself the best he can be.

But for me, no matter how many hours he spends in the gym... he doesn't have the beating of Quigg or Frampton, especially the latter.

 

some of you pick a boxer's level based on which channel he fights on. if galahad fought on sky you'd be jizzing yourselves over him.

 

I was at this show at Ponds Forge and it holds around 2000. Most of the place was packed out but I don't think it helped that the fight was being shown on channel 5.
