Shane Mosley Jr. just lost his first pro fight. His record is now 2-1. I think before moving forward with his career he needs to hire a really top notch trainer. I think Freddie Roach or Robert Garcia would love working with jr. if he is serious about training. 1 loss doesn't mean your career is over but he needs a lot of work right now.

    And so does junior.

    Who exactly is hyping him?

Hes just a young boxer trying to make his way who happened to have a famous daddy.

Name me some HOF Champion Fighters who did really well and there sons started boxing and became successful.
I can only name one and his name is Chavez Jr and they took his career slowly.
Most of these fighters do have sons ,and most of them can't fight. If SSM son is getting expose this early ,boxing is not his cup of tea. There are HOF fighters that would never allow there sons to get in the ring.

Jr also has a large following ,much more than alot of fighters that are better than him ,so his name is out there ,but it didn't come by his father name.

They're taking Moselys career slowly too. Like has been mentioned lots of fighters lose early in their career to weak opposition. Pacquiao, Marquez, Hopkins and many others all lost early. Give the kid a chance.

Are you saying Mosely should not fight because his dad did?

Hes a grown man, he can make his own decisions. Even if he ends his career as 12-17-4.

As for top fighters whose sons did well.

Floyd Pattersons son Tracy was a respected world champion.
