Are boxing heads you talk about guy's like Malignaggi, Mikey Garcia, Malik Scott, etc, etc. A lot of boxers and guy's in the sport don't have any clue about history or older fighters. Mikey Garcia thinks Floyds the Goat and Pac beats Duran. He then went on to say he has never watched any of the fab 4. Not very credible is he. Even Floyd's dad and uncle don't think he's the GOAT. They are both on video saying he isn't. A proper historian who was once a boxer is Mike Tyson. He knows **** loads. He does not think Floyd comes anywhere near TBE. Near every old school trainer will talk about guy's like Benny Leonard, Gans, Robinson, Duran, etc. Not Mayweather. There is a good video on youtube of the similarities between Floyd and Pep tying up opponents and pot shooting from range. The difference is Pep could do it moving laterally and is more aggressive and clever than Floyd. You probably wouldn't feel the need to mock my comments if you actually watched boxers other than your hero Money May.
You act like I don't watch old fighters yet my name is championing Benny fcking Leonard :rofl Pep was good at tying guys up his size. He went life and death trying to get ove Sadler's sneakiness, he would've been in nightmares with Mayweather.
Anybody could put a name of a great up and act like an expert. Please dont compare Mayweather to Sandy Saddler. Different levels.
how exactly are u being realistic? what technician looks better than floyd on film? and don't spew some nostalgic unreal bull**** and name some guy from the early 1900s which was filled with a bunch of flatfooted wide punching brawlers.
who's technically superior to floyd? defense accuracy timing footwork ring iq floyd is technically perfect
you sure rate him harshly for a guy you dont think is a top 5 talent. 1. He had a GREAT WORKRATE. You're talking about one of the best conditioned athletes in the history of the sport. A young PBF has an great W.R 2. He had good power. 3. He was a great combo puncher. Too many fights prove this. 4. A 35+ Floyd resets after every attack. Watch the N'Dou fight. Watch as he does his pull back counter and follows it up with hooks. What fighter was GREAT all across the board? All fighters have flaws. You're looking for holes to support your bias C'mon, you're better than that.
SRL for starters. Look Floyd's defense is good, there's no denying that. Best ever, not in my book. But I do know his offense really is nothing special in fact it's pretty mediocre in the scheme of things.
Sandy had over double the amount of knock outs than Floyd has had fights. All done in a 12 year career. He had something like 140 odd fights with only one knock out loss. He beat some serious names in a tough era. He gave Pep his second loss and it was the first time he was knocked out in 137 fights, knocking him down multiple times before stopping him in 4. Peps first loss was to Sammy Angott. The 4 fights Sandy had with Pep he won 3. He was out pointed over 15 rounds in their second fight, Pep injured his shoulder in the 3rd fight and the in the 4th Pep was stopped in the tenth in one of the dirtiest fights in boxing history. Sandy was one of the hardest hitting toughest boxers ever to lace them up and you think Floyd tools him :rofl Floyd would be crying for pillow gloves that's for sure. He probably wouldn't sign the contract. If he's scared of an Asian midget then he sure as **** wouldn't want anything to do with the Great Sandy Saddler. If Sandy Saddler gets to Willie Pep he sure as **** gets to Floyd Mayweather. He would probably brutally stop him like he did to Pep in the first fight. You trolling me here?
His work rate in the gym does not reflect on his work rate in the ring. He has never had a great work rate. Great work rate is Pryor, JCC, Duran, Armstrong, Jack Kid Berg, SRL etc, etc. The defensive wizard Sweet Pea had better work rate than Floyd and he was a better combination puncher to boot. I don't think your getting me with the combination punching point. Floyd throws 1 2 3 punch combo's at best then resets to look for more openings or in caution of return fire. Watch great combo punchers like Duran throw endless combo's blended with his slick defence as one. Now that's truly great combination punching. Floyd's accurate and a great pot shooter but he is not a great fluid combination puncher. He throws them in spurts. Every fighter has flaws of course but I really have the opinion Floyd is not the multi laired skilled fighter his fans think he is and I'm not trolling one bit when I say that.
