    Anyway, strange to see no mention of Lennox Lewis.

    His defense was mainly his reach, size, strength and power. He wasn't a skilled defensive fighter in terms of blocking, parrying, slipping, ducking, moving.

    agreed, lewis was just so much bigger than many of his opponents so could lean back smother, clinch, push down etc.
    But he wasn't skilled in the way that a Tyson or joe louis was. his defense was very basic but suited to his advantages.
    but its dissatisfying at least to me to see a heavyweight champion with a 2 stone weight advantage jabbing, and clinching and circling taking zero chances against a smaller man

    While I didn't include him on my top 10 list Tony Tubbs was very slick when motivated.

    Tommy was a master...he would have taken a decision over any version of Bernard Hopkins, thats for sure.
