Leonard did a terrific job promoting The Mayhem event with what he had.

With the undercard that was provided to him, I think doing 925k ppv buys is a fantastic job. Remember this was Mayweather promotions first time promoting an event solo, if Floyd knows what's right for him he'll keep the most integral part of his team for the past 18 years.

The fact that you said "doubt that" & couldn't back your "numbers" up with facts, proves you are a delusional nutswinger.

2 articles online that say 929k. Both of which have been wrong in the past.

The numbers haven't been released & more than likely wont be. :patsch

Stop trying to make this fight a success without any ground to stand on. All you are doing is making it look worse.

Dan Rafael who also works for ESPN reported that they sold over 900k, I wouldn't rely on ESPN as a credible source. I say with confidence that this event sold over 900k, and Leonard should be highly credited.

720 K or could be lower. These numbers you see which is the 900k is not the official number. It was too early.

There was no buzz leading up to the fight with a crap undercard also.

No way its 720k, at least it was 900k, but I'm pretty they did 925k+. The buzz for this fight was fantastic, Leonard did a great job to promote this event, the undercard however was lackluster, but Leonard had to work with what he had and he still did fantastic numbers. Even if 720 is true(which it's not), those are still good numbers for the terrible undercard, and he still trumps Pacquiao's 300k with Rios even with a promoter who has been promoting all his life. Remember this was Leonard's first event.

It did not do 925K. Stop taking false early rumors and trying to use it as truth, *****.

True, they made a killing and even increased their viewership numbers from the 1st fight, but I don't believe that is why Mayweather made the decision to relieve Ellerbe from his CEO post.
I think it has more to do with the fact that in all these years Ellerbe, as MP CEO, didn't go out and get the promotional licenses and sign up more new boxing talent.
As Mayweather Sr. said, this is the on;y reason that Mayweather as only be facing GBP opponents.
Plus he said that although Ellerbe had the CEO title, it was Richard Scheafer who was doing all the real work.
Senoir made it sound like Elllerbe didn't hang with Scheafer and learn all the tricks of the trade. Perhaps their may be some conflict between Scheafer and ellerbe,

Anyway, as soon as Schaefer is free from the GBP lawsuit it appears that he will be the new MP CEO.

As far as the Mayham numbers go, I'm going to trust the Yahoo source who seems to have polled all the networks for their input. So, 900,000+ it is.

Ellerbe never did **** but gamble at the Suncoast casino and lose in poker. He's frickin' awful at the game and he just keeps on losing...
