We have all heard that André Ward hasn't lost a fight since he was a 12 year old kid. Maybe some of you know how he lost, but I didn't, until I found this clip with Virgil Hunter talking about it.

Apparently it was an away fight in Arizona were the other kids mother was one of the judges. He also got 2 or 3 point deductions during the 3 round fight.

It might be the reason he wont leave Oakland

Yes, but my guess would be that it is fairly common when kids fight, but one fighters mother. :-(

BTW I think Ward is a solid fighter.

Another way to look at it is 20 of his 27 fights have been in California

And somehow, despite being based on the west coast, the last Olympic gold medalist we had still has never fought in Vegas.

He finished second on North America's Olympic qualifying tournament. I'm not entirely sure about the concept of the qualifiers during that time, so I'm not sure if he lost a fight, but he definitely finished second.

And 5 of Frochs 35 career fights have not been in UK.

Some fighters get too much flack for not traveling but i must say, Ward has a few big money options in foreign countries. Of course Froch would sell tickets like cupcakes in Vegas if he were to rematch Ward.

Froch-Ward 2 is not going to happen.

Hearn has said as much repeatedly
