Don King to fix it. If not Vitali Kltischko or Lennox Lewis

    1) Vitali Kitchen
    - Uses his height and reach well. Excellent stamina. Very good jab. Excellent power.
    2) Sonny Liston
    - Awesome jab. Comparable power. Great chin.
    3) George Foreman
    - If George can get away with pushing Tyson away, George wins.

I think young George Foreman might be all you would need really.

Tokyo Douglas may have been the trick as well.

The obvious choice is Foreman. Tyson was a very impressive fighter, but only knew one mode---going staight at his opponent with everything he had. This would have been perfect for George, maybe even more perfect than Frazier. Tysons chin was superior to Fraziers, and he wouldnt go down easily. If this fight took place in the 70s I could see Tysons chin and heart keeping him on his feet, while being beaten to a bloody mess in the corner. When Foreman hits him with a giant power punch Tyson never sees comming, Tyson goes down, stays down and may be seriously injured and hospitalized.

Sonny Liston would also dismantle Tyson. Mike admits that Liston is the only fighter he would be terrified to fight.

Think big. Lewis, Bowe, K bros and Foreman. All those fighters would pound out little Mikey.

Except he got beaten pretty badly by Bowe in their first fight. He wasn't able to back Riddick Bowe up at all in that first bout. In the second bout he was bigger (10)lbs or so and was able to hurt Bowe.

Holyfield was busier in his prime years but he also wasted a lot of energy and didn't quite sit down on his shots the way he did later. I think the key would be Holyfield being more physical and experienced. He could force Tyson back, taking away that forward momentum and Tyson's confidence with it.

I dont think the smaller, skinnier '91 version of Holy can do that.

Another point missed sometimes is, when Bowe was asked at the end of the first fight, why he fought so aggressive, his reply was that Holyfield couldnt hurt him.

I feel Tyson has no respect for Holys power in '91 and steamrolls him.

Even in their '96 bout, in round 11 Holy hit Tyson with everything but the kitchen sink but Tyson didnt go down.

You're talking about round 10, he might have not gone down but he was completely out on his feet. He was way more hurt than he was against Lewis despite being counted out in that fight.

he wasnt hurt, he was out of gas. He was huffing and puffing from Round 4 onwards.

The commentators pointed this out and asked Holyfield about it.

Holyfields response was something about the holy spirit

Believe me Tyson was completely gone from that barrage at the end of the 10th round or are you talking about the Lewis fight?

You need to go watch that round again, he was completely out on his feet. Holyfield landed a hard right to the temple that hurt Mike bad and then timed a perfect right hand that completely finished him, still don't know how he survived that round.

I still believe it was more due to exhaustion than anything.
