pep back from a plane crash can beat saddler, but mayweather can't? to say that with absolute certainty is hogwash. a guy who would be bad for prime floyd is a big hard hitting lightweight like a prime mosley or ODLH
You speak truth Gannicus. Anybody who walks to the ring with ****** Bieber deserves the savage Saddler treatment. Floyd wont make it past 3 rounds :deal
Saddler was rated no. 5 on Ring Magazine all time greatest punchers. He was a much better puncher at his weight than Mosley or Oscar.
Good for the RING, they have put out some real **** lists though to be fair. Kethcel? Dempsey? Top 10? Come on
Pep is obviously better than Mayweather. If Mayweather was in a plane crash Bieber would be pushing him about in a diamond encrusted wheelchair. He'd probably claim benefits as well the greedy ****. Health comes first :hey
A featherweight with over 100 stoppages? Even if he was only fighting class C fighters, that's a helluva record, Ring Magazine not withstanding.
In doing this did he ever beat a great fighter in their prime? He could have and should have. Very good resume but not great. Next?
No one is disputing his greatness overall but really how was he a better puncher than a guy like Foreman? Tyson, Foreman, Arguello, Hearns etc were better punchers , IMO it's just a bad list.
Name a GREAT fighter besides Pac that he had an opportunity to fight but didn't......remember you said GREAT:good
I made my point clear. It does not matter that there was no other great around to fight. He should have fought Pac years ago. He also fought some damn good hall of famers that he should have fought in their primes. His record is very good but not great.
This whole Sandy Saddler would definitely KO FLoyd theory is just ridiculous. You know there's been MANY lesser men who have competed with Saddler and went the distance with him? People obviously look at Mayweather in a very polarizing light in this forum, but at 130 he was probably the best ever in that division. He had a high punch volume at that weight and was known for his combination punching. He also must've packed some power in his hands- he went 27-0 with 20 KO's in that division. So these misnomers about the guy when he was in his prime are false. He was a very complete fighter by the end of his SFW reign. He packed a good punch, elite combination puncher, elite counterpuncher, had terrific footwork, elite handspeed, elite defense. He was a ring general at SFW and I don't like anyone's chances against him at that weight class. He's in his 4th and 5th weight classes. He's obviously not going to be KO'ing guys left and right anymore, and that's not even factoring in his age.
Sandy's KO record was dished out on boxers with winning records. The guy had some resume. Check it out. If he was around today he would be pumped full of peds going up weights dropping guys like the burning twin towers.
