Lewis didn't carry Tyson, he hit him with everything for almost nine rounds, the video is in front of everyone to see. Lewis in many later interviews has admitted his hands were never so swollen at the end of a fight before.

Tyson was no where near the 1988 version of himself but was still dangerous as his fights prior tomLewis showed. Lennox was far more focused, far stronger mentally and still operating at the top of his game. It was a nasty mismatch. After one round Tyson resigned himself to surviving. I think a prime Tyson takes Lennox.

And who cares your stupid opinion? Rahman didn't carry Lewis but
he beat the **** out from Lewis by one punch ko.
7.5 rounds? Are you an idiota?Tyson won the first round (3X10-9).
Lewis was lucky because Tyson didn't quit after the first round.
Lewis was a coward his stupid tactic. This shows the glass-chinned Lewis was in fear against a post-prison,mental trainer etc problematic fighter.
Othewise Lewis tortured nothing because Tyson wasn't motivated at all.
This win can't change Lewis was a glass-chinned,slow limited lucky
    right time right place fighter.
The first round showed Lewis never had talent(chin, speed, power, skill)
    against a focused Tyson.Seemingly everybody can beat a tired,untrained,
    unprepared fighter .
A very bad version Tyson could won a round against Lewis.
Lewis never won a ****ing round against the prime Tyson, prime Holyfield,
    prime Tucker,prime Ruddock,prime Mercer.
The prime Mccall destroyed him.... Lewis-Tyson sport value=
    Holmes-Ali. A big nothing.
But the Puritty-w.klitschko or the Sanders-w.klitschko were big shame.

I think Tyson prepared as best he could.

If you watch closely, you can tell Tyson had been studying tapes on Lewis, he was throwing repeated over hand rights (ala Rahman, Mcall) hoping he lands the money shot.

But for a guy at Tysons age, wear and tear and general mental state, it was a big ask.

Plus all his exiles from the ring.

    Pure unadulterated garbage.

Lewis made no secret of the fact BEFORE the fight that he considered Tyson as lowlife scum, and he intended to give him a systematic beating, which to the everlasting misery of Tyson fans he proceeded to do.

Tyson could have prepared better, might not have changed the end result because his natural talent had dissipated and he was fighting a few years after when he should have completely retired.

If Lewis watched Tyson vs botha, golata and Neilson, he knew it was going to be his night

Tyson could & should have trained harder. Also though it is really unknown, even as a short swarmer type who tends tod decline early, that Tyson's natural skills had dramtically eroded. But his motivation, work ethic & toughness had. Thus his movement & great combinations were moribund. Given his strngth & the beatings he did NOT take, with his head on straight who knows how close to prime how long he could have been! Mayve his speed still declined, but his endurance would have been there, + technique. Ala Ali.

Lewis also hurt his right hand, thus took a beating by his own trainer Steward instead of dropping Tyson earlier.

VVMM your opinions are extreme...Butr understand folks rarely engage you because you are sometimes mean & verbally abusive. Try to be more balanced, at least stop the childish name calling.

I think a prime Tyson would be favored vs. any Lewis.
But that was a different animal.

I think it was around that time when Lewis called Tyson out?

'I want Tyson, i definitely want Tyson'

Lewis was probably licking his lips.

Otherwise we would have seen Tyson/Mercer in 2002

Which probably would have been a more entertaining fight.
