Id very much lean towards Groves blasting Smith outta there.
Callum Smith has talent, no doubt, but its the equivalent of a footballer looking good playing 3/4 divisions lower that their usual level.

Its a bit like when Celtic had a decent side, playing Dunfermline on Saturday then Champions league on Wednesday was totally inadequate preparation.

Callum hits very hard, harder than Groves. Groves is very good first half of a fight, then is blowing out his arse after that. Groves hit Rabrase, who is ordinary lots but never really hurt him, yes he has a punch but as fight goes on that strength goes. Groves through about 910 punches v Rabrase who wasn't hard to hit and landed only 161 punches. Callum Smith has has engine on him, hardly wastes a punch and has world class shot selection already. Joe Gallagher would not doubt have a plan for Callum to box behind jab for first half of fight, keep it tight then in second half put it on George, and he would stop him late on. Any top fit hard hitting SMW will stop George if they take him late into a fight. George has never beat a world class SMW so people get carried away with him. I know Callum hasn't either but at least people are not claiming he had

Callum Smith couldn't get to grips with Tobias Webb's jab for God's sake. Groves has one of the best jabs in the UK and would carve him up from long range.

Not sure winning 120-108 on all three cards and also having Adamu down constitutes going life and death? :-(

GG knockout for me at the moment but smith definitely a better prospect. Can see smith knocking him out in a couple of years when GG has assumed his role as gatekeeper.

I don't think it was a case of George not having power just rebrasse having an iron chin. Don't think he's ever been down.

Callum Smith has a very long reach, he may get out jabbed the occasional round but not throughout a fight he hasnt/wont at SMW. Webb had a good first round, then what happened to his jab, it got taken part as did he with sickening body shots. Body shots that would do damage to any SMW, You cant put muscle on the ribs

Timing always beats range. Doesn't matter how long your bloody arms are. If they ever fight, watch what Groves' jab would do to Smith's rhythm.

If they fought tomorrow I would pick Groves on points, 3 fights down the line and if Smith keeps progressing I would go Smith by KO

Smith in 18 months would maybe be ready if he keeps winning but can't see it as Paul Smith has said a number of time he will vacate the British title for Callum to fight for it.

So Hearn would put Callum Smith in with Groves in a heartbeat (!) I remember only a couple months ago he said he would put Callum in with Sergey Khomitsky after he stopped Buglioni, but he never did.

If Hearn wants to put Callum Smith in with a live body then why doesn't he make the Rocky Fielding fight. And if Fielding's not a big enough name, then Hearn should put Callum in with James DeGale. Simple!

Groves has bigger fish to fry! But same old same old Eddie wanting to play with the other kids toys.

Not seen anything that suggests Callum hits harder than Groves.

Groves has put people away in convincing fashion, before stepping up to world level and facing Froch - who he dropped and hurt numerous like nobody else previously has done - and it's clear as day to anyone how much of a tough ****er Froch is.

Rebrasse had never been stopped in his 2 defeats and showed his toughness on the weekend. Getting 12 rounds in the bank after the Froch fights will work in Groves favour as it's exactly what is needed.

Gallagher will have a plan for Callum to box behind the jab for a few rounds? Well he'll have his work cut out, simply because Groves has a very very good jab himself.

I think Smith is a top top talent, but to put him in with Groves right now is just silly. He'd get stopped.

Like most Gallagher fighters, Callum is a bit upright and doesn't move his head enough. Could see him getting hurt against Groves but if he's still there when Groves starts to fade, then he has a shot at stopping him
