I do worry a bit for Frankies Career to be honest. He comes across as a really likeable kid on his twitter page, gives his time to anyone etc but you do have to question his ambition. He seems happy enough to fight literally anyone which is fair enough to an extent but you'd have thought he would continue to try & push himself. He's 28, he seemed happy enough to fight Pryce, Barnes & that Shikutu after he convincingly beat Vassell and even then he was calling out Skeete. Ok he lost out on narrow points to a good solid IMO world level operator & his power will hinder him at world level in my opinion but I cant help but get the feeling if he beats Skeete Convincingly he'll turn round and say he's willing to fight Eggington then.
Great fight. This could be the best card ****** has put together for years, however I will wait till the weigh in before I get excited!
Got to agree with this, if (read when) he beats Skeete, then he may get a rematch with Bundu, if he wins that he would probably need another fight to become a world title madatory, he would be over 30 maybe 31 by the time that happens. He should have left Skeete alone, got himself one of those Intercontinental / Silver titles to improve his ranking and looked for a final eliminator early in the new year, he could have been challenging for a world title by the summer if he played it right (And of course, won) Now it looks like he has settled with been a domestic / european level fighter. Sad to see.
Having said that Its a good fight to add to a good looking bill. If it stays as it is it will do well.
I agree. I think Frankie's problem is that he might be too infatuated with the British/Commonwealth titles etc (like most British Boxers are. They're stepping stones, nothing more IMO. No disrespect). Crack on at Euro-Level, Frankie. You're way beyond the British scene now and way behind where you should be on the international stage.
but maybe he needs a confidence booster after getting beaten and dropped by a very limited Bundu, to reasure him where he is at>?
You will see how limited he is when he fighs for a world title! I spout **** says the guy who said Fielding beats Degale and Burns beats Broner
Hahaha!!! I wondered how long until I saw the Zzzzzz replies!!! I must admit, when I hear the word Skeete, I think of boredom.
Jesus... James would embarrass Rocky, and Ricky would have got torn to shreds if he had met Broner. Then again, didn't Billy say that Ricky was better than Ken Buchanan?
