We shouldnt even be talking about James Kirkland, he's irrelevant. The only thing he is relevant at is getting his tiny head punched into submission with his chinny chin on display.

Rosado-Kirkland woulda been a helluva fight. But I can understand Mandingo holding out for Canelo. Abregu becoming prospects worst nightmare, I hope he can step it up and shake things up at ww. Really looking forward to Thurman-Abregu.

Ali was already in trouble with weaker opponents. Abregu by KO.

:fire:fire Now I am not so hyped about the Hopkins fight any more

  15. At this point in Kirkland’s career, he needs to be fighting. Rosado is a step above a tune up and a solid fighter, but he’s not the kind of guy you need a tune-up to face. He’s been outclassed by most of the top guys at 154-160 and is really a solid gatekeeper to the upper echelon of the division. James needs a win over a guy like that to get himself into a position for a title shot before it’s too late. If Kirk can’t beat a guy like Rosado, then he really doesn’t belong in the world title discussion at 154+.

As much as it might be beneficial to take a tune up fight, the potential advantages are pretty much negated by the fact that he’s ducked out of a fairly high profile fight at relatively late notice.
