These robotic fighters from Europe can never be ready for a lesson at the Philiadelphia school of boxing. I kinda feel sorry for Kovalev and his fans. Here in Moscow boxing fans actually think Kovalev's gonna be able to land a punch on BHop. BHop knows more tricks than the Devil.:deal
Yeah, but he's nearly as old as well. IDK - I'm mainly happy that the fight's taking place and as I'm doing my usual pre-fight rewatching of past fights I'm flip - flopping a little, but I'm thinking that Kovalev has much more in common with a Dawson than a Cloud, Murat or Shumenov. He's mobile and quick with the ability to string together unpredictable combinations. Could be that Bernard will find a way to neutralise him and Kovalev might well end up cut to hell, but I'm still leaning towards Sergei for the win. If nothing else his workrate should bank him a lot of early rounds, though I'm far from confident in my pick of a Kovalev TKO. Nonetheless. War Hopkins! He gonna need every bit of that good ol' veteran s#it though.
Im not a big fan of Hopkins style or some of his antics, but how an anyone not be rooting for this guy? We're witnessing history every time out and he doing against more top fighters than no hopers.
That PR with Hopkins taking his physical, laying on the exam table with his Alien mask on is priceless. If only Russian boxerss had personalities.
This fight is so hard to call, Kovalev has looked an animal but at the same time let's be honest not against elite fighters, BHOP has such an awkward style nothing that Kovalev will have seen before, I have a feeling Kovalev will put Hopkins down but the ageless wonder will rise to outpoint Kovalev in a close fight. I like Kovalev so i'm happy if he wins it would really launch his career but a big part of me wants Bhop to defy father time again and win.
