it honestly suprises me how much power people think floyd has over things like commissions and networks

 

One of the biggest reasons that people claim Floyd is bigger than Pac is to fabricate some kind of obligation that Mayweather has to fight Golovkin or previously Martinez while at the same time pretending that such a match-up would be far too unfair for tiny Manny.

As for the talk of Pacquiao going down to 140 in the near future or that somehow proving he was naturally, I'll merely point out that Marquez was brought up in weight for both fights, that Bradley was brought up in weight, and that Rios was brought up in weight. Pacquiao's been fighting at 147 for his own comfort, not that of any of his opponents.

 

Floyd started out at 130.

He weighed 136 on fightnight against Corrales.

Are you saying he hasnt bulked up too?

He now weighs about 150 in the ring.

Is putting on 15 lbs not "bulking up". Its not like he put on fat.

Why cant you just admit that Pacquiao was simply cutting weight to make those lower weights?

Floyd never cut much weight. Pacquiao however used to be a beast at 126/130, and put on 15-20lbs over night

How did Floyd fight in the lowest weight physically possible when he was often outweighed by up to 10 lbs(Castillo/Corrales etc)

It was Pacquiao that was dehydrating himself to gain a weight advantage over his opponents.

Maybe not 15-20 lbs, but Pacquiao never put on less than 10 lbs when he was fighting south of 135.

These are FACTS! This has nothing to do with comparing achievements.

Unless you think there is a massive conspiracy by all the sanctioning bodies and TV channels to deflate Floyds weight and inflate Mannys.

They both weigh the same on fight night.

They both fight in the same weight category.

They have historically weighed the same on fightnight give or take a couple of lbs.

These are verifiable facts.

The size difference between Manny and Floyd is no different than the size differnce between Ward and Froch.

If you're going to make an argument that Floyd is bigger than Manny because he has longer reach and is slightly taller, then you have to accept that Froch is a bigger man than Ward.
