It's a tie between Froch and Marquez, really hard to pick one of those two.

The main reason JMM should be chosen in a poll like this is that knowing a fair shake in a distance fight was'nt possible, he trained for and came to fight a war with Manny Pacquiao in there 4th fight.
From the very beggining of that fight Marquez was loading up and putting real KO mustard on his shots. Thats leaving yourself defensively vulnerable and fighting to your opponents strenghth and that takes real heart.

juan by far. his first pac fight was a lesson in heart and determination. geting dropped 3 times in 1 rd by punches that have kept lesser men down and then having the heart to respond the way he did... hes a fvckin warrior.

I know you're trolling but no, Floyd doesn't have the "heart of a champion".

Not really sure, heart is an intangible quality that is impossible to measure.

Some fighters are just put into positions where they have to show it more.

I don't know if Marquez gets an edge over other fighters in the heart category because he rises from knockdowns to win. It's not just his guts, it's also the fact that he's just a better fighter than other guys who are in that position where they get dropped and hurt.

Another fighter may want it just as bad as Marquez, only he doesn't have the recuprative powers, composure, smarts, combination punching, accuracy, experience, etc...to actually win the fight.

He took a flash knockdown and he took a lot of right hands in the fight, but he was never really busted up.

I really don't understand this, in what fight has Froch showed a lot of heart? When has he gotten busted up and was in a scary situation where he took a lot of damage? He was never in a situation where he had an opportunity to show the kind of stuff JMM has shown.

For all I know he might be the toughest man of all time, but he's never had an opportunity to show too much.
