Does anyone else think Golovkin would defeat Wilder at Heavyweight?

Charley Burley as a middleweight stopped the heavyweight JD Turner in 6 rounds even with a 70lb weight disadvantage.

But unless you're burley or langford or someone like that you have weight classes for a reason

My father ran a boxing club in a small town in Montana, I grew up watching guys spar and box. At many of the tournaments, they would hold exhibition matches between different weight classes because clubs didn't have enough fighters for all weights. Big guys in the gym always sparred smaller guys.

Skill was a much larger factor in who won a match. The only time size comes into play is when skills are almost equal. I don't know how good Wilder is (never watched him) but if his skill is a level below GGG (which I suspect), then GGG wouldn't have much trouble landing his shots and avoiding punishment.

GGG is a bum. Todate all he has fought were bum his own size.

So nobody in boxing history has never beaten anybody with that size advantage I take it? Nobody who has ever fought at Middleweight has beat a Heavyweight?

I'm not even a big GGG fan, I think right now, Ward would beat him and probably Froch.

But Wilder is just not very good and has a glass mandible.

    This.

I can tell you Wilder also has a glass chin, and GGG has the power of a Heavyweight.

A guy GGG savagely KO'd last year, Ishida, has moved to Heavyweight and won a fight.

Wilder is better than the guy he beat, but Golovkin is better than Ishida. The gap is comparable.

Wilder looks like he could be the goods but until he steps up I have to go with the proven man. GGG by KO.

    Wilder
    17 KO
    0 Pts
    0 Draw
    18 KO
    1 Pts
    GGG

I would not be surprised if Golovkin were to knock Wilder out. Hell, Christy Martin would probably knock Wilder out................

Wilder by KO. Only because of the massive difference in size. GGG is the better boxer and would always win in a h2h battle if both were in the same division but Wilder would have all the pphysical advantages which would be a tall order for GGG to overcome.
