Oscar always had problems with his stamina yet for Moseley and pac its a great win but when Floyd beats him different story. He could have done better for sure. Not fighting Pacquiao, Williams or Margarito will certainly hurt his legacy.

And we know his knack for seeking every advantage he possibly can over his fighters - including making good fighters fight at uncomfortable weights (Marquez, Canelo), waiting until fighters were past their prime (Mosley, ODH), and controlling details (Maidana and gloves, Pacquiao and drug testing).

But his record is still first class and he is undefeated. Let's not overstate the importance of the gaps in his resume and be too critical because of that.

Although I accept the point about him fighting fighters being past their prime, i would not labour it. You can only gauge a career decline properly with hindsight. And who knows, it may have been their defeat at the hands of Mayweather that put their careers on skid row.

The thing that stands out for me is not so much that he is undefeated, but that no one since Castillo has come even close to beating him. That is quite some achievement given the time he has been at the top.

 

No one claims that DLH is a great win for Pac.

Wrong Shane never ducked Floyd he challenged Floyd when he was lightweight champion and Floyd was a 130 pound champion and Floyd declined than Shane went up to welterweight to chase a fight with Oscar.
