Nah, i dont think thats it.

A fighter could definitely cherrypick his was to an undefeated record - Just look at Joe Cal. But a fighter cannot cherrypick his was into unanimously being considered the #1 fighter in the world.

i never said he did, and he is not unanimously considered anything.
floyd made his bones on the way up, thats why those who know his career know what he has trouble with, whats tailor made for him and whats most important to him. if you know all that, then you know when hes taking the easy route.

But to the people that matter he is the #1 fighter in the world.
Maybe not to you but no offense - you dont matter and neither do I. You the hardcore fan unfortunately does not write boxing history. Those in the know rank him # 1
Any p4p lists that matters ranks him # 1. Any credible boxing publication ranks him #1. I just dont think you can cherry pick your way into that. You may not like every choice he has made but thats your opinion and it is not the majority.

you should write what you mean so that you dont have to backtrack on it in subsequent posts.
you stated that floyd is unanimously considered the #1 fighter, perhaps you dont know what unanimous means?
you claimed nobody can cherry pick to number 1, i answered that i never said he did, you ignored that and kept focused on pretending that thats what im saying.
nobody but his nuguggers, like very choice floyds made, so ill disagree again and say the majority feels like i do about his avoidance of fighters.

Just because one drunken idiot says he ducked someone he eventually fought doesn't mean that the boxing community felt that way. He ducked prime cotto period. He fought a faded beaten down version. He straight up ducked Margarito and never fought him. He ducked Pacquiao and will never fight him. He ducked Paul Williams too. I'll give you Mosely but thats it. Many say he ducked prime Mosely but I disagree.

Why would he do this to create an illusion? People think hes a coward and don't give his position as the best fighter credibility because of his selectivity in opponents. He ducked Khan and he won't fight him either lol. Hes run out of opponents to cherry pick and now hes gotta retire or fight some good fights and I'm glad.

Floyd only fights top opponents. Sure, he could have fought a few other top fighters but he hasn't exactly fought no hopers.

I dont think the easiest route is Cotto, Mosley, Maidana, or Saul Alvarez but let you tell it and these fighters are a walk in the park

when was the last time floyd faced the guy considered by most to be the top guy in a division? anything else is the easy route. you can rattle off all the excuses that ive read a thousand times on here for why he hasnt fought them and it still dont change a damn thing. most people dont give extra points for could haves, others build a whole legacy around them... i know which one i am.

Alvarez was probably considered the best at 154 when he fought him. That's fairly recent. You could argue Lara, maybe deserved that title at the time. But, Alvarez had all the hype and the zero. Before that, I'd say Mosley at 147 was the "Super Champion" if I recall. I could be wrong there.

The reason Mayweather is so interested in fighting Khan, is the same reason he wanted to fight Matthew Hatton a while back- he was shocked that when Hatton got 100% of the British PPV income, he made more than Mayweather, and Money was some of that delicious pie.

However he's in for a rude awakening if he thinks us Brits are going to wait up till 5 in the morning to support Khan.

152 is not a division and you would have to go pretty far back in moselys career to rank him above pac.
