    Yunier Dorticos is a 30 year old Cruiserweight with a 21-0 20 KO's record. Born in Havana, Cuba and fighting out of Miami, Florida. This Cuban is now residing in Miami Florida, what a shock, he has been on a can crushing crusade through the CW division, he placed second 3 times in a row at the Cuban National Championships before turning pro. The reason I've done a thread on him is, its a rare occasion lately to find a Cuban slugger with a seek and destroy mentality, which is somewhat of an improvement over the glut of hyper defensive counter punching bores Cuba has given us like Rigo, Lara, Perez, and Rances. But I am afraid Dorticos could possibly implode and get KO'd since he was dropped by Eric Fields, and stopped in the amateurs by Dmitry Chudinov and Beterbiev (BS stoppage) and it certainly doesn't bode well for him that when he stepped up against a partially Zombified:!: Edison Miranda he couldn't KO him, albeit he beat the **** out of him and won every round. But if he can get some more rounds in, and work on his stamina he may prove to be a very exciting fighter in the future.     Viva Doritos! Isn't Luis Ortiz cubano too? He certainly doesn't have the twinkle toe style the rest seem to have.

    Man, was at the Dorticos-Ventura fight. Everyone was excited because it was a matchup of undefeated big bodies...Ventura was 13-0-1 with 11 KO's if I remember correctly. Dorticos handled him rather easily. Will be interesting to see what happens with him in the future. He was also an extremely vocal spectator in the crowd that night (but to no avail) for his Cuban counterpart, Yordenis Ugas, who lost a close decision to Emmanuel Robles in a great fight.
