    Actually he was.

He was mentally ruined after Ali and then the Young fight sent him over the edge.

Wasnt it George Foreman who was running around naked in the changing rooms after losing to Young?

Thats why he retired because he couldnt get over the loss.

So what the **** did Jimmy Young have in the ring? air conditioning?

Clearly Ali and Lewis amongst others must be pretty mentally weak then? because guess what? neither of them got off the canvas to win a fight they were losing either.

Foreman got up off the canvas in one fight his whole career, to beat the GREAT Ron Lyle.

    Yes great achievement.

On a seperate note, Tyson would have ****ed Lyle up

Ali did get up from a scored knockdown and won against Wepner.

On a separate note, Foreman would have ****ed Tyson up.

So basically Tyson would have to get knocked down by Wepner, get up and win the fight and he can join the pantheon of greats?

Who's saying that? Tyson showed his mentality had become weak in the 2nd Holyfield fight when he found a way to get disqualified.

The point im trying to make is, to the guy i was responding to who said Tyson never got up off the canvas to wina fight (that he was losing)

Ali and Lewis never got up off the floor to win fights they were losing.

The VAST MAJORITY of people who not only train to get in a boxing ring, but actually do it, (never mind anyone who wins ) are not mentally weak.
Never mind elite fighters mentioned on this thread.
Most normal people would run a mile from a fight.
All guys mentioned on here would clear a room out if one started near them..its all relative...
Guys like Foreman Tyson etc have been in situations that mere mortals couldnt dream of being able to handle.
    Mentally weak....=No.

oh so you are a doctor now who can diagnose and discern between mental issues and drug use? they are both intricately entwined.
