You got to give Canelo credit he has Grande Cojones. The sport needs more fighters like him.

"You know what it was good sparring [against Golovkin],” Canelo said via esnewsreporting.com. “He’s a very strong fighter. He’s a very, very strong fighter. We helped each other out pretty much. What can I say about him? He’s not only a good fighter, he’s a nice person as well. He’s a very nice person, but honestly, this is a business; this is a sport. If I have to fight him, no problem.”

One thing Canelo doesnt do, is duck tough fights.

So rare to see these days.

TBH this fight would be a ******* - I honestly see Canelo eventaully ruling the Middleweight scene, for a long time! Wouldn't be surprised to see him wander up to Super Middle neither in a couple of years.

He'll be around a long time - with a 55+ plus record, seriously like this kid - and as you say he's happy to mix with anyone! exactly what the fight game needs.

It is a fight i can see happening. In a year or 2 its probably a 50/50 fight

Someone needs to tell him that the judges cant give him the fight if he is unconscious. No one can save Canelo's tarnished reputation if GGG bodies him in 3 rounds.

If they both keep winning, and especially if Canelo beats Cotto in May I can def see WBC Mando/MW unification for next year. If he is lineal/WBC MW champ, I just dont see Canelo ducking his mando just because its a tough fight.

Canelo is naturally the bigger man. GGG is 165 lbs a month out. :grouphug

I didn't used to have much time for Canelo, but with his recent willingness to take the big fights (and sometimes slightly 'fortunate' decisions) the appellation 'Malodyets' is becoming ever more appropriate.

I still think it's unlikely GBP let him fight GGG until Golovkin's built a bigger name, but I believe the Ginger One himself is willing.

Before you spurt crap like this again, do us a favour, step in the ring, see if you last 3 minutes, then come back and see if you still feel like being terry tough nuts.

"Packing glass" because he was stunned then recovered? Jesus christ some of you people need to get a life.

A video of a teenager getting wobbled, is hardly proof of him "packing glass"

    :deal Thank you!

I genuinely thought he was sincere, until I checked his post and thread creating history...GGG this, GGG that.

    Self explanatory really.

He's got bigger cojones as many other "big name" fighters.

That said, I don't think the fight would last very long.

Hope it happens, good to see a boxer actually speak his mind and not say "right now I'm only focused on" or "I'm not thinking about him" or "it's up to my pomoter" . Puts pac and floyd to shame.
