Jazza's due to face Josh Wale for the vacant British S.Bantam title. It has to be said he was well beaten by Galahad last time he contested the title, but quite a few times he had Barry worried, just was out witted & gassed - this is a winnable fight for Jazza. Wale has faced the most impressive opponents (Galahad, Hall & G.McDonnel twice) but every time has come up short. So the question is, who wins? And where do they go next, both the winner & loser. I see a loss for Wale as almost career ending - at least in the title hunt.Wheras for Dickens I think provided it's not a catastrophic loss he can come again.thoughts?

he wasn't well beaten at all.. Dickens was beating Galahad fairly comfortably.. was ahead on all 3 scorecards until his stamina let him down, he does have talent and as long as he sorts out his stamina / wasting energy issues he'll get to European level like Galahad as them 2 are a level below Quigg and Frampton

Bit of an unfair analysis - from memory, I think Dickens was more than holding his own, you could argue he was winning up until the stoppage.

LOL Dickens was winning the fight and ahead on points!!!! :patsch

I'd expect dickens to learn from his mistakes and win a rematch if they had one......

Dickens was ahead on all cards, but it was blatantly obvious what was going to happen from about round 5 - 6 onwards, Galahad was working to a gameplan, allow Jazza to charge forward, miss a lot & eventually tire - from these rounds onwards Galahad was the cleaner boxer - stealing rounds in the knowledge Jazza wouldn't be able to keep the pace. Well beaten by a good plan.

No I stick to what I say, think of the fact that Galahad puts a lot of people away by out punching etc - he never even attempted that,as is plan was evident.

I'm a massive Dickens fan & was on the edge of my seat - but the plan was ovbious.

Totally agree, spot on. Excellent post.
In fact I was just thinking earlier about the similarities between the kg-jazza fight and another fight being discussed on another thread at present..the Mike mccallum v Michael Watson fight.

To the casual fans eye the loser in both fights probably did appear to be doing well, but to the guy who knows what he is looking at both fights were " honours class v pass class". The knowledgeable eye can see the eventual loser was, in each case, "generating more heat than light", if you get my drift!
That is in no way meant to disrespect the loser in both cases.

Galahad had a point deducted in the 9th but at the end of that round was ahead on one judges card. If Dickens had somehow survived the knockdown in the 10th, Galahad would have been ahead. It is irrelevant as Galahad knocked him out.

Yep he put up a good effort , proved he's at the level required, has time to develop further & with the right people behind him he has a lot too offer, where do people see the winner and loser of dickens wale going next?

Yeh I get exactly what you mean & I've no doubt that a lot of Galahads fight was on plan, and directed by the ingles ...

A lot of it comes down to the old clique "everyone has a plan til they get hit"

I like the guy and hope he wins the British title. Is he still promoted by Queensbury?
