iv had an idea for a while of something i would personally buy into in British boxing as a fan and i would like to share it with you on here to see if its me been a bit mad or wether it could actually work.

the idea is to have a 'boxing republic stable' where we pick a few prospects with no ties and promote them. We give the public the chance to buy a share in a boxing promotional stable. We then shortlist 50 boxers to take part and run a poll and the 5 boxers with the most votes join the team.

to give people a motive to sign up we can offer exclusive interview content, give away free t shirts, run competitions to visit the boxers gym, maybe even discount tickets.

these types of projects happen all the time in horse racing, iv heard of something similair in football, happens all the time within the independent music scene too. It will create a mini community.

All money raised goes into the project, pays for boxers to have a wage to concentrate on their boxing, cameras, websites, signing up more boxers to the cause and im guessing boxers will jump at the chance as it will raise the profile, help sell tickets and t shirts etc,

all feedback is good feedback, if its a pile of **** idea then please say

Without knowing the ins and outs - im all for it. Anything to improve the status quo - which is a disaster for fans and fighters alike at the moment.

Very vague in my head at the minute, but wouldn't want it all about my idea alone, a few people chip in, create something viable and the main thing is creating a platform for boxers who have no platform.

I just like the idea of paying a nominal fee to have some sort of involevment in the sport i love and i think this would the hard ore boxing fan that chance

Get a kickstarter up, fans buy fights in advance. Imagine boxing fans raising $150million dollars and paying Pacquiao and Mayweather to fight. No strings, no promoters, just paying for fights in advance via a large centralised fan fund, topped up by sponsorship and rights sales. TV would chip in, promotion would be more grass roots, and word spread by fans who are engaged and invested. And the fans would dictate who fought who. Rankings could be cleaned up and standardised and the Alphabets could be torn up. Works for me.
